About Us
Hi,
It's me again, Slick. Did you recognize me?
My Mom always says I am  a character and I
do the silliest things. She is so right!
Your on the "About us" page. So, I will tell you a little about all of us here at Prancing Pony Equestrian Center. Our facility
is small but I think it is Grand. All of us here are happy ,healthy and safe. I , myself, have been here since I was a wee
little thing. My Mom, the one with only two legs, bought me and brought me here when I was about 5 months old, I am
16 years old now. She taught me everything I know. I never left the farm for any training she did it all. She says that I am
the best horse ever. My Mom is a real neat person. She has been around horses her  whole life and she competed in
shows Nation wide. She and her Dad would load up on the weekends and travel to all the different A.Q.H.A horse
shows. She competed in Halter, Showmanship, English, English equitation, Western, Trail, Horsemanship and more.
She has given horse lessons for over 22 years. She judges horse shows occasionally and really strives to help out the
youth.

My Mom worked for Carroll County Board of Education for 11 years with the Special Needs children. She loved her job
but when she was going to have her baby she decided to stay at home. She also worked for the Carrollton Parks and
Rec. Dept. Summer camp program for about five years, as Arts and Craft Instructor and more. My mom was asked to
teach sign language at the Carrollton Technical College for several semesters. That's my Mom in a "nut shell". You will
really like her.

Here on the farm, I have several friends I hang out with.  Stormy, who was born on our farm. He is a Reg. Pinto and
Paint pony . He will be learning how to pull a little cart this summer. There is Rabbit, who's not a rabbit at all, of course,
he's a horse! He is a 28 year old Spotted Saddle horse that loves to go.  Hefty Hal is a Heflinger , which comes from the
Draft horse family. He was trained by the Amish to work the plow and pull a buggy. He has wonderful personality.
Chip comes from Louisiana, he is a very sweet and loving horse. All of us are really gentle, easy going horses and
ponies.

Horse Soccer
We have just learned of this fabulous new horse sport. My Mom is working with the horses on the farm
that she thinks  will love to do this. She thinks it is such a great idea. It helps the rider with balance and
control while they are having a fun time.
